The series takes its name from the Spanish World Heritage city of Mérida, where many well-preserved buildings from Roman times can still be found today. The surfaces of the large-format tiles made of stoneware and VilboStone porcelain stoneware are reminiscent of the sand-lime bricks used in this historic architecture: With subtle, irregular colour structures and delicate veining in warm, natural colours, MERIDA is perfect for showcasing the modern, clean side of the current country style in living rooms and bathrooms.
The glossy stoneware tiles for the wall are available in the two formats 40 x 120 cm and 30 x 60 cm and, in the light colours cream and light grey, allow two colour schemes that spread a pleasant, friendly mood. The matching stoneware decors show a wave-like, three-dimensional relief that gives the wall covering a sweeping look and distinct feel. Thanks to the easy-care CeramicPlus surface, basic and decorative tiles are particularly quick and easy to clean – water and a soft cloth are all that is needed.
The large formats 60 x 120 cm, 60 x 60 cm and now 80 x 80 cm in VilboStone in the natural colours ivory, sand, pebble and midnight are virtually predestined for finely coordinated colour schemes – in different rooms or in a single room. The 5 x 5 cm mosaics on 30 mesh in the same design can be used as decors and in floor-level showers. Combined with the large formats, they create exciting contrasts that can be further emphasised by using different colours. Plinth tiles in 5 x 60 cm format in all colours complete the series.
Thanks to the easy-care ceramic surface protection VilbostonePlus, the high-quality porcelain stoneware tiles are resistant to soiling. As they are also equipped with slip resistance R10/B, they are ideally suited for all living areas and many architectural projects: With its purist look and large formats for walls and floors, MERIDA is recommended for contemporary private living as well as for sophisticated gastronomy and modern shop fitting.
